i got through the guards..I had to do it at night. in the cold darkness between two mountains. but once i got through them i was welcomed with the sight of a beautiful place. it must be siduri. after talking to her about my quest and Enkidu, she tells me i should just be happy with how i am now and that i dont need to change anything. she took me to urshanabi who told me about the flood. once i told utnapishtim what i wanted he told me that i had to stay awake for one full week. i failed. but he did tell me about a plant that can restore youth. so i went and took it, on my way back to Urik, a snake took the plant from me and slithered off. it shed its skin and became youthful again leaving me empty handed for when i return back home.

i have traded my kingly apparel for animal skins as a way to remember Enkidu. i have set off into the wilderness to find Utnapishtim because he was granted eternal life by the gods. i was thinking that if i find him, maybe he can give me eternal life or maybe help me figure out how to get eternal life. i have to go through two mountains but an obstical is in the way....two guards into the tunnel that will not allow me to pass through.

as we pursue our journey during one of the battles, Enkidu dies. it was very hard on me. he was a great companion to have during a quest like this. our goal was to find eternal life so nothing like this happens. a little late now. it will not stop me from finishing what i started. and that is to find eternal life. sure Enkidu's death has saddened me,  but i am determined to finish this quest.

Enkidu and I decide to work together, we take trees and fight Humbaba. we succeed and continue our quest. during the quest we hit some rough patches but it wasn't to bad. Enkidu being my equal is actually pretty good because we end up being a very good couple. together we are very strong and almost nothing can stop us.

my name is Gilgamesh. i am on a quest to find eternal life. i am 2/3 god and 1/3 human. I like to do whatever i please because i am beautiful, strong, and smart. it is to my attention that the other gods have created a being they call Enkidu. he is my equal and was put here to keep me in line. he wont get in my way of finding eternal life though.
